Are Gabriel Shipton & WikiLeaks also co-opted by Bitcoin "evangelist" scammers?
Like Stella Assange, what are Gabriel Shipton & WikiLeaks still doing co-opting crypto projects as well as accepting crypto donations?
Through the combined efforts of people all around the world who advocated and chanted for “Free Julian Assange!”, to Vivienne Westwood (a fashion designer who once dressed as a canary), to Jennifer Robinson (Julian’s lawyer who represented Julian in late 2010, who ironically represented a certain Amber Heard in 2020), to even journalists such as Richard Medhurst, Kevin Gosztola, Matt Kennard, Joe Lauria, Chris Hedges…Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks/a cypherpunk/a journalist in his own right is free. Hurray!
And one year has past since Julian has been reunited with his wife, Stella Assange (previously known as Sara Gonzalez Devant/Moris), and his two children. These days, Julian has been laying relatively low, with Stella and WikiLeaks updating directly to viewers about Julian and any goals going forward when involving Julian (most notably the urging request for the US, for the Trump administration, to “Pardon Julian Assange!”. Effectively, both Stella and WikiLeaks are speaking on behalf of Julian and not so much Julian himself. There is another individual, Gabriel Shipton (or more accurately Gabriel Barber-Shipton, Julian’s half-brother, whom we need to talk about as well. There are a few glaring observations of both WikiLeaks and Gabriel as of late that I do not want to write about; it is painfully clear to me that these two, like Stella, have developed/gained a disturbing trust with pro-establishment Bitcoin figures who have used the Assange family and Julian’s name to promote Bitcoin into something far, far worse.
Stella Assange: Recap + Update
Is Stella Assange co-opted by Bitcoin "evangelist" scammers? (Golden Monarch)
What was that now? To never meet your heroes in real life...(Golden Monarch)
Festival de Cannes (Golden Monarch)
Last year, I wrote what might be considered “controversial”; but it was a much needed discussion concerning Stella and her continuous support of Bitcoin per Julian Assange alongside Bitcoin establishment figures. Stella knows what the crypto industry and its influencers e.g. Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy, Natalie Brunell of the Coin Stories podcast, Lyudmyla Kozlovska of the Open Dialogue Foundation, Jack Dorsey (former founder of Twitter) represent: dystopian freedom using half-baked, half-proven “decentralized” blockchain technology for means of privacy and to be “independent” of government or banks.
Since Julian has been freed, Stella has effectively "narrated” on what and where Julian will be present at. For instance, back on April 26, 2025, WikiLeaks stated per Stella:
“Now Julian is free, we have all come to Rome to express our family’s gratitude for the Pope’s support during Julian’s persecution. Our children and I had the honor of meeting Pope Francis in June 2023 to discuss how to free Julian from Belmarsh prison. Francis wrote to Julian in prison and even proposed to grand him asylum at the Vatican.” - Stella Assange
At first glance, what is wrong with this statement? Nothing other than its timing; while much of establishment media (as always) was overly reporting on the the next pope to succeed Francis (which became Pope Leo XIV aka Robert Francis Prevost), Stella had only made commentary about the Pope as well referencing Easter…you mean to tell me Stella (or WikiLeaks) had nothing to say about Gaza, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), CECOT (Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo), or even growing crypto scams and corruption coming from both the crypto industry and the Trump administration?
Then on May 21, 2025, both Stella and Julian were seen at the Festival de Cannes, an international film festival hosted in France. The screening of the film The Six Billion Dollar Man, is a documentary showcasing Julian’s battle to not face extradition from the U.S. just for publishing classified documents e.g. Afghanistan War Logs, Iraq War Logs, Democrat private emails, Sony Pictures hack, etc. The question at hand is not the documentary itself; rather, the presence of a growing, gatekeeping, Hollywood-esque surrounding Julian, particularly because of Stella, who by the way, highly praised its director Eugune Jarecki. The Festival de Cannes may seem “independent”, but once you take a close look at its partners/sponsors: J.P. Morgan, Nespresso, MasterCard, Dolby, etc…one has to wonder whether Stella knew everything as described here, including the mysterious donor who paid in Bitcoin for nearly all of Julian’s flight, who made it financially possible for Julian to return back to Australia.

One year since being freed, Julian Assange still a victim of state secrecy
How is Julian Assange doing?
Speaking of Stella, I certainly wonder how Julian is personally doing (not counting what Stella nor WikiLeaks say about Julian) and any new personal developments from Julian related to independent journalism, Bitcoin, the crypto industry, the US following the previous Biden administration, and once again, the Trump administration. Down below are a list of significant events including that of the US invasion of Iraq (2003) to WikiLeaks being founded (2006) to Chelsea Manning pleading guilty on espionage charges (2013) to ultimately Julian being released under a plea deal to US authorities (2024).
But hang on…where are other major events coinciding with this timeline, such as the 2008 financial crisis that was purposely designed by banks & financial institutions to widen the wealth gap between the wealthy and the hard working citizen? What about the once cryptic Bitcoin whitepaper, which was mysteriously released out to the public in October 2008 under the pseudonym “Satoshi Nakamoto”.
In 2011, WikiLeaks started accepting Bitcoin donations due to banks & financial institutions restricting WikiLeaks from using their platforms for donations. It’s quite ironic that the once mysterious blockchain that financially funded WikiLeaks (and Julian with well over a whooping 50000% return) has been completely taken over/co-opted by technocratic oligarchs (financial institutions, billionaires, Zionist-aligned elites). These oligarchs have been actively present since the 2008 financial crisis as well as arguably the creation of the NSA, featuring an early business relation between Boris Hagelin, an early investor of AB Cryptotehnik, and William F. Friedman, the chief cryptologist of the NSA in 1952.
Julian Assange still a victim of state secrecy
According to Stefania Maurizi, an investigate journalist who has worked on all WikiLeaks release and Edward Snowden files, British authorities including the Crown Prosecution Service, as well as the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) were deliberately destroying key documents during the Assange case. The CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) also filed lawsuits against journalists who went to visit Julian in the Ecuadorian embassy.
It was this desire to unearth the truth that convinced me to embark on a 10-year Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) battle in the US, Britain, Sweden and Australia, represented by such excellent lawyers as British barrister Estelle Dehon KC of Cornerstone Barristers, and American lawyers Lauren Russell and Alia Smith of Ballard Spahr. - Stefania Maurizi
Due to Julian’s plea deal, Julian could not file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to acquire information on his persecution. Maurizi also mentioned that US authorities at the State department are determined to keep key documentations classified and to prevent any unclassified files from released. All of this is due to the State’s concern over “serious damage” national security. Baloney!
As I write this, other journalists, writers, and independent leaning advocates are still waiting for a public “Ask Me Anything” Julian Assange, or even an in-depth 1-on-1 interview with a trusted journalist to attempt to answer some of the lingering questions about Julian’s imprisonment and mindset. It is painfully obvious there has been, and continues to be, a blanket of censorship cloaked around Julian. Either Julian is a willing participant or, technically, is still in some form of prison.
People want Julian’s direct perspective & insight to hear the story about everything he’s had to endure - including:
Neglected deaths of fellow prisoners
The forced two choices to either plead guilty or risk spending the rest of his days in a maximum-security US prison
Julian simply wanting to get updates to different matters while he was held in Belmarsh prison for 62 months
What Julian’s perspective is on crypto including Bitcoin, what he understands about its evolution, the 180-degree flip on the acceptance & embrace by the banking & financial community since Julian went to Belmarsh.
Subsequently, is Julian himself still a believer in Bitcoin as a future currency - does he still hold any, etc.
Speaking of WikiLeaks…

Julian Assange: Bitcoin is Much More Than Just a Currency
…what is still up with WikiLeaks still accepting cryptocurrency? And it is not just Bitcoin; you can *cough* donate to WikiLeaks using: Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, ZCash, Monero, Ethereum.
Additional cryptocurrency options to be announced.
And let’s pretend that WikiLeaks did not deliberately state on its website that you can read up on each crypto, either on the official website of said crypto or *cough* Wikipedia. And let’s most certainly pretend that among WikiLeaks’s partners, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Intercept, The Wall Street Journal, etc. are not among the list of said co-publishers, research partners and funders. WikiLeaks, or better yet, The Sunshine Press, posted an interesting update per Gabriel Shipton’s new project: The Information Rights Project. I will talk about Gabriel’s project soon enough considering you can also donate in crypto, which again is ironic given the current state of crypto and its direct involvement with blatant crime from Zionist elites.
Bitcoin OG wallet wakes up 14 years later
A few days ago, a Bitcoin OG (slang for an early adopter of Bitcoin aka Original Gangster) woke up after 14 years of dormancy holding at least 80,009 BTC (Bitcoin symbol). 40,000 BTC was transferred out, which is at least half. The OG controls not one, but eight different wallets. 2 wallets contain a combined total of 20,000 BTC when Bitcoin was priced at 0.78…back in April 2, 2011. The other 6 wallets contain a combined total of 60,009 BTC when Bitcoin was priced at $3.33…back in May 4, 2011. In summary (see links above) a combined total investment of $217,600 ($15,600 + $202,000) from 2011 now in 2025 is worth an investment of $8.60B. Insanity!
Who’s wallets are these? Technically, 2011 was the earliest for select few users to be extremely aware and knowledgeable of Bitcoin, how Bitcoin transactions and trading works. Based on the cryptic behavior of the OG constantly buying Bitcoin at 0.78, I initially thought Saylor of MicroStrategy was who anonymously bought Bitcoin at 0.78. But it is not Saylor; when Saylor first mentioned Bitcoin in 2013, he initially thought Bitcoin was a scam, and that Bitcoin’s days was “numbered”. Later in 2020, Saylor completely flip-flopped and dedicated his commitment that MicroStrategy would buy Bitcoin regardless if Bitcoin pumped or dumped.
Another OG consideration is the infamous Silk Road guy, Ross Ulbricht. Earlier in January, Trump pardoned Ulbricht for any conviction of running an online drug marketplace, with Bitcoin being heavily used for trading. The Silk Road darknet market place ran from January 2011 to October 2013, which was when law enforcement agencies shut the site down. Ulbricht was arrested in 2013, convicted later in 2015 with life in prison, and years later, is a top guest at the infamous Las Vegas Bitcoin conference, or what I refer as the RNC (Republican National Convention) 2.5. According to blockchain research Conor Grogan:
“I found ~430 BTC across dozens of wallets associated with Ross Ulbricht that were not confiscated by the USGovt and have been untouched for 13+ years. Back then these were probably dust wallets, now, collectively, they are worth about $47M.” - Conor Grogan
These numbers associated with Ulbricht do pale in comparison to the eight wallets that hold a combined total of 80,009 BTC. Nonetheless, this was worth comparing because these wallets that have been dormant over a decade have become active again, in tandem with the US’s hard push by billionaires, politicians, and financial institutions to adopt crypto. There is no doubt in my mind that these resurgence of old wallets are contributing to hyper volatility of the price of Bitcoin.
Before I move on to discuss Gabriel Shipton, there is one more consideration as to who the OG and its wallets belong to…they belong to none other than Julian Assange! Let’s think about it; WikiLeaks was launched in 2011, Julian in October 2014 described Bitcoin as “the most interesting thing on the Internet”, Julian’s background as both a journalist and a cypherpunk, and finally, Julian possibly knowing who or what is “Satoshi Nakamoto”. Admittedly, this last consideration is speculative but worth discussing some more. You can check out Indie’s breakdown of this topic down below.

CoinMarketCap- AssangeDAO ($JUSTICE)
Gabriel, much like Stella, as well as father John Shipton, has spent years advocating for Julian’s freedom from Belmarsh prison. Shipton, an award-winning Australian film producer, got involved in the Assange case starting in 2019. Gabriel is previously known for his contribution to films such as Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Emu Runner (2018), and Ithaka: A Fight to Free Julian Assange (2021).
Starting in 2021/2022, Gabriel got involved in crypto, alongside Stella, specifically to raise awareness of Julian’s condition in Belmarsh prison. Beginning with the NFT (Non-Fungible Token) project known as Censored*, in partnership with the mysterious digital artist “Pak”, the project raised $77 million, which went towards the legal campaign to free Assange.
“I never met him,” [Gabriel Shipton] says. “Actually, I don’t even know if it’s a him; I assumed it was a him, just from our conversations, but I never met him. Them.” - Gabriel Shipton
As exciting as all of this sounds, NFTs however were not a widely accepted form of blockchain technology, let alone trade. Imagine having to already deal with the volatility from crypto such as Bitcoin and Ethereum; NFTs are extremely more volatility than crypto, built ironically on a specific blockchain such as Ethereum and Solana. At best, the purpose of NFTs are served for only a short time period. A ponzi scheme within a ponzi scheme.
Take for example the AssangeDAO token ($JUSTICE). It originally launched on late December 2021 under a Telegram group, which Gabriel later joined. A few years later, on June 2024, at around the time that Julian was announced to be released, the AssangeDAO token climbed in value over 80%, only to drop in value soon after. A short time period for insiders to get in and get out.
As of right now, AssangeDAO is currently undergoing revitalization, with its community determining what its new mission will be.
What Is the Governance Layer? The Governance Layer includes Stella Moris, Gabriel Shipton, and Jennifer Robinson (Assange’s family and lawyer). They can veto proposals harmful to Assange, ensuring the DAO’s actions support his case. - DAOAssange
Project Spartacus

WikiLeaks turns to Bitcoin blockchain to protect Afghan war logs
Ordinals creator views his Bitcoin-centric creation as ‘digital artifacts,’ not just NFTs
Earlier in April, Charlie Spears, co-founder of Blockspace Media and board member of the Oklahoma Bitcoin Association, invited on both Gabriel and “Bruffstar”, co-founder of OrdinalsBot, to discuss Project Spartacus. Project Spartacus would enable WikiLeaks to log 76,000+ Afghan War Logs on Bitcoin. The effort, however, will not be done to directly raise funds for Julian Assange, but to commemorate Julian’s story as a part of Bitcoin history.
I am eerie about “Bruffstar”, who describes himself as both an Ai & ChatGPT Maxi (Maximalist). Respectfully, what the hell is Gabriel thinking, partnering with someone like “Bruffstar” and Spears? To put archived Afghan War Logs into a not so “decentralized” blockchain…how would that even be done?
Why would Gabriel put a level of trust or confidence towards blockchain-based projects where not all of its participants may be openly honest, who may be using the legacy of Assange for self-promotion, and who may have their own conflicts of interest involving other industries, such as Big Tech and the military industrial complex. Bitcoin especially in the “centralized” hands of billionaires and financial institutions, who financially fund Big Tech and the military industrial complex, is worrisome. I have some huge doubt about Project Spartacus.
What specific info is in the war logs that would be so important for Bitcoiners to know?
Is this project a setup to convince passionate Bitcoiners that putting War Logs into a “decentralized” is a good idea? Is this precisely the goal of WikiLeaks, of Julian?
OrdinalsBot is a Bitcoin-based NFT-like project. Its creator, Casey Rodarmor, prefers to describe NFTs as digital artifacts, something which he named by asking ChatGPT. (You can’t make this shit up).
“You’re The Voice” podcast featuring Gabriel Shipton
Gabriel Shipton - Assange & Fighting for Freedom | Ep. 75
"I served in the IDF for 25 years in the intelligent forces" - Efrat Fenigson
Late April, Gabriel was invited on a 1-on-1 with Efrat Fenigson who hosts the podcast You’re The Voice. The two previously met in El Salvador; no shocker given El Salvador is a reoccurring place for Bitcoiners to meet all while Bitcoiners stay completely silent and ignorant of President Nayib “Bukkake” Bukele’s corruption per Bitcoin, CECOT, pro-Israel stances on business and technology.
Fenigson, a former IDF, is described as a “freedom & Bitcoin maximalist”, and a former Chief Marketing Officer of global companies with a tech background of 20 years. Fenigson was featured by The Wall Street Journal as one Israel’s 2022 top tech leaders. What do I make of all this?
Fenigson is no independent journalist (even if she describes herself as one). She is heavily part of the crypto industry grift, interviewing and promoting toxic individuals, from the likes of Saylor (with ties to Trump’s crypto council) to Caitlin Long of Custodia Bank (CEO and reluctant opportunist for Trump & the fed to further adopt crypto) to Joseph Kelly of Unchained (with ties to Max Keiser and Senator Cynthia Lummis). How ironic; Fenigson, who says she is against Israel’s genocide in Gaza, is playing dumb over some of her guests, who are advocates of Trump, the crypto industry, and complicit advocates of Zionism given Trump’s unyielding commitment to Benjamin Netanyahu and the insistence of “Trump Gaza”. Sometimes I wonder whether Gabriel truly knows each and every pseudo establishment-based Bitcoiner such as Fenigson.
On a positive note, Fenigson did relate with Gabriel’s commentary about Julian being free again, where Julian can have a semi-normal life such as enjoying the bush in the Australian nature and connecting with nature. Julian needs time to heal; but for Gabriel (and Stella), are interactions with individuals like Fenigson and spreading Bitcoin propaganda exactly what Julian wants?
The Information Rights Project
You can donate using cryptocurrency...uhh
Bitcoin: The Greatest Scam Never Told (Jacob King)
On June 26, WikiLeaks announced Gabriel’s recent launch of The Information Rights Project, an Australian charity fighting for the right to information. The people of this charity consists of Gabriel (Director - Founder and Chair), Greg Barns SC (Director - Deputy Chair), Harry Bunton (Director), and Nevena Spirovska (General Manager).
And the best (or worst) part; anyone can donate to this charity using either Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash. Why? What are Gabriel & WikiLeaks still doing by co-opting crypto projects as well as accepting crypto donations? Don’t Gabriel and WikiLeaks know that by promoting crypto, they are giving crypto a soft approval, given crypto and its latest scandals involving the Trump family, its obvious linkage to gambling (21, BlackJack, Poker) and its abhorrent red flags of being a ponzi scheme of the elites (e.g. Michael Saylor playbook)?
Plan B Forum
New Speaker Announcement (June 24, 2025)
Before I wrap up, more sad news. Oh look, it turns out that both Gabriel and Stella will attend the Plan B Forum 2025 in Switzerland on October 24-25. Shocker; both Gabriel and Stella are far from dropping Bitcoin and its propaganda. Alongside Gabriel and Stella, the following quests are set to make an appearance:
Paolo Ardonio (CEO at Tether, CTO at Bitfinex, CSO at Holepunch)
Michele Foletti (Mayor of City of Lugano)
Milena Mayorga (Ambassador / Embassy of El Salvador to the US)
Chris Pavlovski (Founder and CEO of Rumble)
Dom Bei (Founder at Proof of Workforce & Lead Coordinator of Santa Monica Bitcoin Office)
And if that is not sad enough, Plan B Forum is a joint effort driven by the city of Lugano and Tether. Whether Plan B Forum plans to announce Julian to make a guest appearance is unknown. Frankly, in my opinion, it does not matter whether Julian attends because Stella and Gabriel will be going in lieu of Julian, which will be interpreted as Julian giving approval…what was that now? To never meet your heroes in real life.
